Our name, Gegrond, is Afrikaans (as is our mother tongue) for grounded.
Our brand is a reflection of the lifestyle that we live, and promote. It’s image is built as an extension of who we are and what we do, and we have as much passion for our roasting as we have for our outdoor escapades.
The Camel Thorn tree (Kameeldoring boom) resembles Africa, where we’ve been born and raised, and where Gegrond is rooted, but it also resembles the importance of, and the growth that will come from, staying grounded. Grounded in what? In God, our values and beliefs, as well as in adventure.
We supply freshly roasted coffee that will not only keep you awake, but will take your sense on an adventure of a lifetime.
